Introduction

AUSPICIOUS BEGINNINGS

In 2000, in response to the government’s initiative to develop Taiwan into an Asia-Pacific Regional Operations Center and global logistics hub, the Evergreen Group established Evergreen Air Cargo Services Corp. (EGAC) as a BOT project in collaboration with other prominent domestic and international enterprises.

EGAC officially commenced operations on July 3, 2002, and began autonomous management as a customs-controlled warehouse in November 2002. In November 2004, a strategic alliance was formed with the Taipei Customs Office under the Ministry of Finance.

Occupying more than 45,000 square meters, EGAC is ideally located at TTY International Airport, in close proximity to the cargo apron. The facility is equipped with advanced automated air cargo handling systems, with an annual handling capacity of up to 820,000 tons.

Leveraging the Evergreen Group’s integrated air, sea, and land transportation network, EGAC provides customers with comprehensive air cargo services. Supported by state-of-the-art facilities, advanced technology, robust security systems, and efficient handling procedures, EGAC is committed to delivering reliable services that maximize efficiency and minimize cargo delays.

EGAC is also committed to environmental protection. In 2009, the company supported EVA Airways in implementing IATA’s e-freight pilot initiative, significantly reducing paper usage by replacing traditional documentation with electronic messaging.

In 2010, EGAC obtained third-party verification of its greenhouse gas emissions inventory, in compliance with ISO 14064-1 standards.

In recognition of its commitment to security, EGAC was awarded “A” certification—the highest security standard—by the Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA) Asia in 2005. Additionally, EGAC achieved first runner-up in the forklift competition at the 2009 International Forklift and Pallet Building Competition organized by Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited.
